Welcome to the Mass Intensity Basketball Club
Our mission is to teach young athletes to play fundamental basketball at a high level. We believe in giving each athlete a firm foundation required to be a strong basketball player. Equally important, our experienced coaches teach their players to use these skills effectively in a team concept. While our goal is to field teams that can compete at the regional level, we also field developmental, local area teams. Most importantly, players at every skill level consistently demonstrate continued improvement over time.
We focus on the development of our youth members as individuals and as a team. The MIBC Basketball program emphasizes two core principles – teamwork and character development – to achieve our mission. MIBC Basketball aims to teach young women and men the importance of teamwork by learning to meet, develop relationships, and work with new people in their lives to achieve excellence on the court. Character development occurs through good sportsmanship and ambassadorship in representing MIBC Basketball.
As a member of the Athletic Amateur Union, we also subscribe to the mission and vision of AAU: “To offer amateur sports programs through a volunteer base for all people to have the physical, mental, and moral development of amateur athletes and to promote good sportsmanship and good citizenship. To offer amateur athletes volunteer opportunities to develop to their highest level through a national and local network of sporting events. Through participation in AAU, we achieve our dreams as athletes and as valued citizens of our communities.”
The MIBC – Mass Intensity Basketball Club entered the AAU basketball circuit in the fall of 2010. Our goal is for every player, both male and female, to develop their skills and compete to the best of their abilities, while creating new long lasting relationships. Our players will play in both AAU sanctioned and AAU non-sanctioned tournaments. MIBC is a well run AAU organization which truly cares about the fundamental development of its student athletes, and the integrity of the sport.
